The ISTclassic® set consists of 1 pair of telescopes HF9 and 4 fixing screws, LAMItec-foils (Ø 125 mm), monomer, polymer, a safety key, a bite fork for controlled protrusive adjustment of the mandible and a storage box for the patient.
During this special laminating procedure two polycarbonate foils are connected with a soft intermediate layer. Advantages of the laminating procedure: A reinforcement only of the 1.3 - 2 mm laminated rails with autopolymers are redundant and the resistive torque and the bending strength increase and make the splints almost shatterproof. A planar discoloration, as it arises with conventional hard or soft splints, is avoided: The colour-sensitive layer is inside with this procedure. The accumulation of plaque is minimized by the smooth, highly transparent surfaces of the deep-drawn splints.
